Much needed break

These past two weeks have been bad at our house.  I don't remember the start of school being so hard, but man it has been rough.  I think between the new longer hours, the heat, and all the after school stuff, my kids are falling apart.  Emerson has been struggling the most.  She loves her teacher and class, which is great, but is struggling with getting up and going all day.  She comes home exhausted and emotionally spent.  It has been rough.  I am hoping after a couple more weeks we will be in a good routine, and everyone will be happy!  We took a much needed break this weekend and went up to my parents cabin.  It was so nice to get away and spend time together.
