Last Saturday Jackson and I did the Adventure race for Africa. It was so much harder than I thought it would be. There were points during the race were I had to become a major cheerleader, but Jackson did it. He finished it and I think he got the racing bug.
I took this picture as we were running. It was the last of the 3 legs and Jackson was defintely worn out. I tried to get him to focus on his music, but that was not working. We finally got behind an older team. I told him we could not let them beat us. That was all he needed. He is so competitive!! He finished out the rest of the race. I was so proud of him. I love that he knows he can do hard things.
