Emerson has been counting down the days until her birthday for weeks. She has been so excited. The day started off great. We had donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast and then went and saw a play with her preschool class. After lunch Emerson started feeling sick and spent the rest of the night throwing up. I felt so bad for her. What a horrible way to spend your birthday. We promised to continue her birthday celebrations this weekend and with that she spent the rest of the night on the couch.
Emerson,
I think five years old is going to be a magical age for you. You love life and are so happy. You have so many friends and are constantly meeting new ones whereever you go. You love your brothers and are so good to them. Jackson is your best friend and you miss him when he is at school. You are going to be the best big sister to the new baby and talk about her all of the time. You are a great sharer and are always thinking of others. You love playing with your pet shops and princesses. You can play in your room for hours. You are a total hoarder and we have to hide things from you so we can throw them out later. You try so hard to be good and make good choices and get very upset if we have to miss church. You still have the occasional clothes drama and melt down but they are becoming few and far between. We love that. We love you Emerson! We hope that being five years old is all that you hope it will be.
Love,
Mom and Dad
